BioThis is a public journal to document and track the progress of the quarter horse Rugged Sting Ray.
This journal was started on August 19, 2006. Starting in October of 2005, Ray went lame and was eventually diagnosed with a torn straight sesamoidean ligament, for which he received stall rest and shockwave therapy. Although the ligament is apparently healed, his lameness issues persist and may be related to his stall rest. This is not uncommon.
The primary purpose of this journal is to track Ray's physical progress in getting well, although some training notes may be included as well, along with general attitude and how he is coping with his condition.
Below is Ray's pedigree. He is a grandson of Rugged Lark and a great-great-grandson of Impressive. I have had him tested and he is HYPP N/N, although Impressive Too, Luck Too, and Be A Lady Luck are all HYPP N/H.
